3rd Annual Crushing Clays Jr Trap Champs

The GOAL Foundation and the North Leominster R&G Club hosted the 3rd annual Crushing Clays Jr Trap Championships today and it was a huge success! We had 18 shooters ranging in age from 11 to 18. Competitors fire 25 birds for warmup and then 50 for score. One young man came over from Martha's Vineyard! The overall winner was the 11 year old. He ran 25 straight during his 2nd round. Just Awesome! The first year we did this 6 kids participated. It's nice to see that the good word is spreading!

Grant had been shooting pistols and rifles for a long time with his dad. I took him out so shoot some clays off a hand launcher last November and he was hooked. He turned 12 in July. I need to practice more so he stops kicking my butt.
