.38 Special, +P brass vs non +P brass question

I have been trying to find out the difference, if any, between +P .38 special brass and non +P
brass. What I found was a comment on a board (copied below). Can anyone confirm this?

I personally can't find any difference in the brass specs but I thought I would throw it out
here to see if anyone else had a different take on it.

"+P 38 special ammo is loaded to SAAMI specifications. The only difference compared to
standard loads is the pressure to which it is loaded. Dimensions for the cartridge, including
brass specifications remains unchanged."

I think +p marked brass is regular brass marked that way at the factory but not different in any other way to other .38 brass. I load range brass to hot +p all the time.

It was not the Brass tat was +P it was the load. The manufacturers used the headstamp to indicate higher pressure loads.

Now you will see +P brass for sale in 38spl because the stamp dies were made and there is not sense retooling for a head stamp.
