.22 cal/GSG question

A friend of mine that lives in Fitchburg has his MA. F.I.D. card

He would like to buy a GSG 5 but is getting conflicting info at shops as to whether or not he can buy this with an F.I.D.

Can someone please clarify if this is legal or not?

Assuming the barrel length is not shorter than 16 in (which I think is covered with the fake suppressor), that would need a LTC B since it comes with a 22 rd mag in free states.

The mag capacity is what was causing confusion amongst the shop owners as it is only legally sold in state with a 10 rounder.

Crazy laws in this state, the same guy has a tube fed marlin that holds 12 but he can't own the GSG that holds 10.

The "tube fed Marlin" does not have a detachable magazine. The GSG does.

That would require sufficient intelligence and energy to actually look. There seems to be shortage of those qualities, based upon recent posts.
