ETA: Did you get the octagonal barrel? If mine wasn't an impulse buy (a treat to myself for completing my goal for the day of buying a revolver ), I would have gotten the octagonal barrel.

All of the Golden Boys & Big Boys come with an octagonal barrel.

I got a Golden Boy after my wife fell in love with lever guns (while watching Top Shot). It is a beautiful rifle, the wood stock complements the brass just great, and the octagonal barrel is so retro! It is fun to shoot (and being a .22 it's cheap to shoot too).
