Started cleaning up the gun safes, accessories, and wall racks. Amazing how much dust can form on a wall mounted gun rack. Today I photographed my American long arms. Later I'll do the German, the others, then followed by the handguns.

I also took my unused 10 gun Stack-On cabinet and made a ready ammo closet out of it. I trimmed a couple of old shelves, and drilled and supported them through the cabinet wall with four long machine bolts to hold them up. The center two .30cal ammo boxes are filled with .30-06; one with en-blocs, the other on Swedish strippers. No pun intended here - I'd need a permit from the wife for that.[wink]

The upper shelf has ready .30-06, .30 carbine, 8mm Mauser, and .303 Brit. The middle shelf boxed rifle and pistol calibers, and the jars on the third shelf contains loose rounds of various pistol calibers.

So here we have:

1812 M95/T3 Springfield musket .69
1822 M16/T2 Springfield percussion conversion .69
1854 M42 Springfield musket .69
1861 M61 Springfield rifle musket .58
1892 M88 Springfield trapdoor cleaning rod bayonet .45
3/1918 M17 Eddystone
(1919) 8/1931 M03A1 RIA/Springfield
10/1941 M1 Springfield Garand (11/46 Barrel, correct stock, mostly '41 parts)
9/43 M03A3 Remington (as issued)
3/1944 I.B.M. M1 Carbine (as issued)
4/1944 Quality Hardware M1 Carbine (1946-1948 Standard Products marked rebuild)
2/1943 Winchester M1 Carbine

Well now your neighbors know you have a "arsenal" all those military guns [rolleyes]
I experienced my first "he's got a gun" in my neighbor hood/yard .
I was practicing off hand with my daisy in the yard when a group of cyclist came through. They are a loud bunch and like to talk while they ride....as they crested the hill....you can see into my yard well from that point. I hear
"That dude has a gun"...... I giggled.
