Do the MA gun laws count a chambered round when determining capacity (>10, <10, >5, <5, etc)?

The focus of the text seems to be on magazine capacity.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I just found this is in a search before posting this question for myself. So by the way the law is written, 10+1 in a POST ban pistol (M&P 9 for example) is perfectly legal?

See above. The chambered round "+1" capacity isn't of concern, only the magazine etc.
So all those M&P's are being sold/possesed legally.
