For reference, I'd sleep in my truck if it had a toilet and a shower.
I'll be heading up Friday, checking out Sunday morning.
I suppose the only real preference I have is that it's within 45 mins of the range.

I've generally stayed at the
Howard Johnson in Saugerties. It's the next town over and about 15-20 min drive to the range.

You can also bring a tent and camp on site if you're into that. There's a Porta potty. There's also a Bavarian Brauhaus down the road with cheap rooms. Kinda janky but it's run by a nice family and it's cheap.

Last year I stayed at Twilight lodge in Haines Falls, I think 20 or more minutes away west of the range, a few others stayed there too. It is reasonable, couple hundred 2 nights. I think it is on Expedia. Other than that, I have stayed at the Howard Johnson a few times.
