Just finished my 300BK build except the Optick. I can't really decide if I want to go with a prism with a magnifier or an LPVO. Either way here it is.

LOL no- I like it.

If someone has a Gucci AR and is happy with it, I'm happy for them. Not my cup of tea, however, and I'm a huge fan of DIY AR's like OP's. Looks like an Aero M4E1 lower but I'm not sure of the color.

Can or no can it's a nice round to deliver some energy with a short barrel. Typical (non-subsonic) 300 BLK loads retain significantly better energy downrange vs. 5.56 from a 9" to 10" barrel- approx 40% more 'juice' from ~50 yards to ~250 yards. There are many ammo options so who needs a can?

I do agree that subsonic rounds are pointless w/o a can.

Aha- there's some flash in the pic that made me think that cerakote FDE was some gold-ish color anodize.
