MA Gun Grab 2024: Senate bill S.2572

Any liberal I’ve ever talked to about problems that liberal policy has cause has answered me the same way: “That’s because XYZ policy didn’t go far enough!”. I’m less optimistic than you that they have the capacity to analyze cause and effect.
It is not about cause and effect, but different views of the relationship between the government and the governed.

No, I think it’s a lot to do with cause and effect.

When I talk with liberals I often hear phrases like “I just feel like everyone deserves this” or “with all the money this country spends on the military there’s no reason we can’t provide free XYZ”

When I hear from conservatives the discussion is a lot more like “if we take money from this part of the economy, it will stop producing XYZ and eventually the result will be even less of XYZ” or “The result of increasing XYZ subsidies results in the increase or decrease in XYZ”

That’s typical of my experience in these discussions. So in my opinion there is absolutely two very different methods of problem solving going on. One deals more with cause and effects and puts emotions on the backseat and one puts emotions in the foreground and leaves cause and effect on the backseat.

Let's be honest - R or D they both vote on feelings and popularity.
As long as sports are on TV and the kids are fed most people are okay with tyranny if it means they can dump making more decisions on someone else in order to reduce risk of being wrong.
An excellent summation of humanity in 2 sentences.

you know what we need? more government. Tread harder, daddy! wow. I always get a kick out of people that would opt for regulating their rights away. it's sad that those people vote.

Perfect summary, bravo!

Not sure if was in this thread, but is there some court activity happening tomorrow? I looked and looked, but can't find it anywhere. Not sure if federal or state. I just seem to remember "next Thursday".

How many lowers is enough lowers?

How many Glocks is enough Glocks?

It’s like an electrical joke “how many wires can you fit under a red wire nut?”

“One more”

How panic should I panic?

I like just started learning to shoot but decided to get a Glock 45 and an AR while I still can (just in case). Might not be the best starters but at least I have them.

There’s no better starter rifle. Don’t listen to the bone heads that tell you that you should start on a 22LR. There’s an old saying: If you’re old enough to buy an AR, you’re old enough to stop saying the word “like” where it adds no value to the sentence, and you’re old enough to shoot an AR.

They are conferencing tomorrow and the Bianchi V Brown case is on the list.
Did this sh*t passed?

I tried searching, but this thread is like explosive diarrhea.

Not yet. The Stasi are still holding their secret meeting's to see how badly they can screw us and make it stick.

Thank you. I thought "SCOTUS" wasn't doing anything until June/July time frame.

Anything we can do, aside from sit back and observe? You just KNOW the other side is pushing buttons somewhere.

Good organizations but I feel that I am diluting my $'s. Would rather concentrate my money to one national organization and one or two state level organizations.
FPC is doing more for us than anyone. 1 case in SCOTUS with Cert granted, 2 more in conference today. Eat, sleep, sue the .gov, repeat

Do like I do. Each month, I choose the top two most active & successful pro-2A groups in the past month and donate to them.

I reward aggressive, worthwhile activity and success... just as I would any organization. Why send money to organizations sitting on their hands?

But once the new MA law drops, whichever group(s) take the lead fighting the insanity... it/they are going to get all of my donation money.
