Messico used to be a lot bigger. Unfortunately for them, the stronger neighbor country with the bigger dick energy tends to take the land and not wanna give it back. Given how weak they are now with tackling their own corruption and cartels, maybe time to take a lil more.

No - it's actually your logic that Texas should be part of Mexico. That's what you're arguing when get all pissy that the Russians "invaded" the Donbass - when it's mostly full of Russians.

There's a bunch of US territory that was supposedly "taken" from Mexico - according to the Mexicans. So you're telling me that it would be ok for Mexico to start shelling Texas, then send troops in and take it over. Then cry to the world how they're a "democracy" and need help from the rest of the world because when the US sends troops in to take back Texas - because it's still mostly full of Americans - who speak English..... suddenly Mexico is being invaded? Then the Russians send Mexico $350 billion dollars , as do a bunch of other South American countries.

Now the Mexicans are ALWAYS going to lose that war, as long as the Americans see it as an existential fight. So what - the Americans are going to be the bad guys for sending in troops to take back Texas?

Mexico is a corrupt shithole too - just like Ukraine. So yeah - it's a good analogy - I'll give you that.

Ugh - why would we want to take area that has more Mexicans - don't we have enough already? If we're gonna start taking land - take Greenland and Canada - and when we get into Canada kick out all the Chinese , Indians and other randos that they invited in over the last couple of decades.

If we were going to do anything with Mexico - about the only thing I can think we might want to do - is take over a strip along the border. The US went into Haiti a couple of times - and tried to clean the place up. They built roads, put in water and sewer - stuff like that. Unfortunately when we left it all went to shit - because Haiti is full of Haitians. Mexicans aren't Haitians. So maybe a US military presence in say a 20 mile wide strip along the border - might be able to "fix" a bunch of the shit that's phucked up down there - and then give it back to the Mexicans and they'd probably be able to run it sanely for quite a long time.
