The Massachusetts Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) is hosting a youth Shotgun Clinic at Minuteman Sportsman in Burlington MA Oct 29th and 30th. Both Mr. Happy and myself have our sons in the SCTP program and it has been great for both of them. No experience is required, cost is $75 for a session and includes ammo, lunch and a loaner gun if needed. Come meet the local teams and Olympic shotgun medalists Jon Michael McGrath and Corey Cogdell. Click on the attachments below to download the forms.

Come to this fun event and meet USA Shooting National Team members Corey Cogdell, 2008 Olympic Bronze Medalist and Jon Michael McGrath, 2011 World Cup Gold Medalist. This is a fantastic opportunity to receive expert training (both introductory training for brand new shooters and specific training for experienced shooters) by the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) Directors of Development and Massachusetts SCTP coaches.

You will also have the chance to talk with Corey and Jon Michael, hear about how they started as an SCTP shooter, learn about their journey to becoming a USA Shooting Team member and all of the great experiences they have had while on this journey.
Brand New Shooters Welcome

Bring Your Friends! Any new SCTP teams that sign up at the clinic will be awarded a $10,000 endowment from the Midway USA Foundation! Current SCTP athletes - if you bring a friend and they sign up for your team, your team will receive a $500 endowment for each new shooter! So, bring a friend along and show them how much
fun shooting can be! For more information, please email Hank Garvey at [email protected] or call 978-270-8300

Our team is over for the season, although the team members are free to shoot on their own. A bunch of us will be at Minuteman to help out with this event

The clinic is open to all students through grade 12. They have to be old enough to comfortably hold a shotgun and that usually somewhere in the 10-12 range. Minuteman has trap, skeet and 5 stand and is currently raising funds for an Olympic Trap bunker.
