Youth Bowhunting Questions

1) Can a child bow hunt deer under an adult's license?

2) In MA a >=45 lb. at 28" is required. Is that the same for kids?

The 10 year old son of friends wants to join me on their property. He has a 25 lb. bow. We haven't gotten into particulars; I'm hoping he is content not to shoot.

Advice?

As far as I know, if you can't pull 40# you can't hunt with a bow.

What game?
Deer, Turkey and bear are a no go. Squirrel, cottontail, I don't think there are regulations about draw weight or broadheads.

Otherwise he can watch.
