I'm looking for something in this exact format with a more reasonable price point (although I'm sure this knife is worth MSRP). Anyone have any suggestions ?
Is the one on the left an Altus?Met up with, John from the, The Edge Lab. Added a couple more Civivi knifes to the collection. Love these knifes, and the price point isn't bad at all for the quality you get.

It is. It's the one he posted for sale yesterday, as well as the blue Elementum. I really like their button lock setup even though it's a bit thicker than the cross lock design. Makes one handed opening and closing a breeze. Is the one on the left an Altus?

That looks like old Spanish style meet and ham slicer, not that she needs a knife to cut right through the heart as easy as it is through watermelon lolcant Seem to focus.

Unrelated, but have you talked to Joe Brum lately? Those were made in my knife shop then. He was working there on weekends learning the trade.
About a year ago. I was thinking of him yesterday though oddly enough. That dude is one hell of a knife maker. Taught me a lot of what I know.Unrelated, but have you talked to Joe Brum lately?
I used to meet up with him when he had a job in Boston and I would see him on another forum but had not heard from him in a few years.About a year ago. I was thinking of him yesterday though oddly enough. That dude is one hell of a knife maker. Taught me a lot of what I know.
I haven’t seen him since those days either. My brother in law saw him at the CT show last year. Sounds like he’s doing well.I used to meet up with him when he had a job in Boston and I would see him on another forum but had not heard from him in a few years.
Anybody have any knives that use Magnacut steel? I am thinking of picking up a Heretic.
I have a Hogue Deka w/ magnacut. Great steel. Holds the edge well and sharpens easily. It was left in my barn for the better half of this year and the steel still looks new.Anybody have any knives that use Magnacut steel? I am thinking of picking up a Heretic.

Im sure theres some clever marketing but it seems to be a good steel. Especially for a stainless.Good to know, thanks.. Was wondering if it was just clever marketing like Busse Infi steel, or there is actually something to it.
Is Tom still making knives? I always love his knives. Super simple. Functional and CLEANTom Krein Recurve, Nitro-V.
My new favorite knife. I don’t think it could be any sharper! Hope I don’t slip up, could be disastrous.
Fictional? Is Tom still making knives? I always love his knives. Super simple. Fictional and CLEAN
Maybe you'll get a compliment from the doctor doing the stitches " wow, that's a clean cut". All jokes aside, nothing wrong with sharp knives, the dull ones are the ones that'll get you.Tom Krein Recurve, Nitro-V.
