My father in-law who's a Vietnam vet got me one of those for my keys. He can open a can faster with that than I can with a regular kitchen aid one!

I had one of those too.
But they gave us food in a pouch. Go figure?
I'm not bad ass enough to wield a P38. I'm a delicate flower.

That's how they got their name. Because it could open a can faster that a P51 or P38 could fly.

When I joined the MANG back in the early 1980's my unit (A Co. 101st Engineers, Newburyport) were still handing out C-Rats from the Vietnam Era during training and Summer Camp.
Most of the E5 and ups were Vets from that war looking to get a pension squared away, some just liked the comradery.
I also had a Top who saw combat in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. First Sergeant Dan Hissey. Great guy. Miss him.

I still have a bunch of P-38's from that time in. A couple of P-51's too.

Actually, to be honest, I was this close to getting the 5. Lol!
But for the price, we should have just gotten both.
