I thought the same thing. Fresh water = better than salt water, then dry, then gun cleaner, then dry & heat gently, and oil?Only reason I cold imagine that is if it got dropped in salt water.
Yup .. Water Displacement formula number 40. The first 39 attempts didn't work. Was originally used (I think) in the space program for cleaning rocket pieces-parts, maybe engines. The technicians loved the stuff so much, they started bringing it home and using around their houses. Management got wind of this after a while, changed the name of the company and started mass marketing the stuff.Isn't that the reason they invented WD40?
Gotta be pretty careful with brake cleaner and plastics or some finishes.....for disassembled parts not a problem. I try not to go blasting the whole gun.Do they take off finishes? Brake cleaner seems to remove automotive paint very well.
Funny, you think that guy cleans his teethDude probably cleaned his teeth the same way
I just read today that WD40 was invented for use on the Atlas rockets.Isn't that the reason they invented WD40?
Yes that is true. Something about the seals. It was so good that everyone was taking the stuff home.I just read today that WD40 was invented for use on the Atlas rockets.
an acetone on plastics is no good. some brake cleaners can be up to 50% acetone.with brake cleaner and plastics
