When you got a UHF antenna so you could get five Boston stations, up from three.

First show on Saturday morning after they played the Star Spangled Banner was "Industry on Parade."

No... round screen 10" Zenith and you waited in front of the Tecumseh test pattern for an hour for Howdy Doody and Fluberdub to come on.

For you enlarged prostate problem guys, talk to your MD about a drug called Tamsulosin. It's a once a day capsule and it shrinks the prostate. I had to cut the dosage in half, took one every other day, as I was leaking a little urine. All is well and I've been on it for years. I still make a couple trips to the bathroom each night, but that is more due to my fluid intake. I drink more than a quart of liquid each evening before bed.

When your car "air conditioner" was a 2nd side window you could turn to blast you with outside air.

    Fly windows, love em!

Great wind flow with those. Chevy vans had them at least into the late 90's. Great way to break into them too, you could jam a screwdriver into it and twist and pry it until it shattered....quietly....

Also old, one side rear view mirror instead of two.

Miss Jean from Romper Room lived in my town. I was in the bank with my father one day, I was maybe 5 or 6, he knew her, The old man was a cop in our town for as long as I can remember, he drags me over to her to introduce myself, MAN I thought I was gonna die right there on the spot. I was so red I could feel it. 60 something years later I STILLL remember it like it was yesterday!

You are (maybe not old, but...) showing your age when you see toys that you had as a kid in antique shops or at Brimfield flea market. I still have this, but wish I still had some of the other stuff, but toys were made to be played with, not kept in the original packaging in a climate controlled place... Anybody remember this?

I had a 1985 Chevy van I drove until 2002. One day, I was out when I realized I managed to lock my keys in the van. I noticed the latch on the one on the driver side wasn't all the way down, so managed to push it open, reach in, and get the door unlocked. [shocked][grin]

The fly windows on most of the early maybe 64 -70 Chevy trucks I owned had the flip latch window lock, then I noticed in maybe 69 or 70 they added a lock button in the middle of the handle you couldn't just insert a wire hanger and flip the latch anymore, we had to get a little more creative.

    Yea this eth gas stinks.

You hit some good ones, lets add

Free glass givaway with a fill up

    Seventeen cents a gallon

Pulling onto rte 1, yes, pre 95 and heading north to NH listening to bump .. bump on the expansion slots on the CEMENT roadway.

Public Barbecue fireplaces and grills on Lynn beach

1/2 pint 3 cent per milk beaks in grade school. That was great, I always got 3 for a dime and got change.

Lunch in HS at the local store, pack of Hostess cupcakes, a quart of milk and silver change from my silver 1/2 dollar.

Getting a raise at my summer job to $1.10 an hour.

Working in the gas station and learning that the bottle of dark myers rum in the lower left desk draw was for the teamsters that delivered products. If it wasnt there they would leave without delivering and try again the next day
