Yet Another NH Incident

Good for him...

"I drew my weapon," he said. "He came after me, and I punched him in the head and dragged him downstairs."

Don't know how I would have reacted if he had come after me... But I bet it felt good to punch the bastard.

Let me get this straight. The guy draws his gun and then lets the intruder get close enough that they end up grappling on the stairs? Sounds to me like the homeowner is lucky he didn't lose his gun.

+1 Home invasion, draw down, intruder charges the guy with the gun, and no shots fired. I wonder if the gun was loaded. The home owner is lucky to be alive.

"We trussed him up — we had his legs up and his hands behind his back so he couldn't kick or swing until the cops got there."

It sounds like he didn't really have to worry about this guy. Mabye that's why he didn't shoot. He realized the guy was drunk and wasn't a threat.

I think you're right.

This one involved a CCW home owner, and turned out good with no shots fired. Is it me or is NH goign down hill in the last few years? I lived in Manchester for 10 years and moved back to MA in 2003, and don't remember anything like what's making the news up there over the last few years, and this year alone:

Prob due to an influx of Ma**h***s to the area [roll]

According to the online Manchester Union Leader article that I read this morning (part of my official duties, believe it or not) the homeowner was a former corrections officer. He, more than likely, had some experience beating a drunken or otherwise incoherent ass into submission.

It has thruth, believe me. When I moved to Manchester in '93, the place was as you'd expect NH to be. Over time, and especially when the housing boom caused the influx of Mass. residents into So. NH to take advantage of the housing prices, things changed. It was most noticeable in the road rage incidence going up. When I moved in '03, it was quite common to see cars with NH plates with Mass dealer badges on them.

The funny thing is, many of the Ma**h***s seem to have moved. Strangely enough, moving to Leominster, it's strangely very much like So. NH used to be 15 years ago [shock] .
