XD gets an ambi safety

Was just looking at the American Rifleman magazine and saw the add for the new Springfield XD w/ optional ambi thumb safety. Maybe MA compliant someday? That would be nice.

Only on the 4" and 5" XD-45 so far, presumably angling for LEO contracts that require the manual safety.

SA does not have any guns on the EOPS list and from what I have heard they have no intention on dealing with MA b/c of our ridiculous laws and regulations.

From the Four Seasons Firearms page:

Springfield Armory handguns will not be available in Massachusetts. The factory has said..."WE HAVE NO INTENTION OF GOING THROUGH THE MASSACHUSETTS CERTIFICATION PROCESS because the laws and regulations are not clear".

Our laws haven't changed so I doubt Springfield's mind has.
