My brother & his son bought this old 1911 from a neighbor a little while back. Submitted here for your viewing and enjoyment.
In addition to the pistol and the two extra slides, it came with misc. springs and internal parts, a handful of magazines, an extra barrel and a leather holster marked US on one side and has someone's name scratched into the other side. Also with the purchase they received a couple of vintage aluminum ammo boxes with leather handles.
BTW my nephew did post this already over at 1911forum.com but wanted to share with you guys in the frozen northeast.
