I'd wager nobody would be saying "wow!!!" if it were a 30 year sentence for a 41 year old man having sex parties with underage girls on a nearly weekly basis, repeated sex with 5 underage girls, and use of drugs and alcohol to wear down their resistance.

Personally I think rapists should get the death penalty. Her sentence is fine. But when rapists are getting less than 10 years and she's locked up for 30 it sends the wrong message IMO.

True that almost every teenage male will gladly screw almost any female for one reason or another (raging hormones, bragging rights, to get experience, etc.), but drugging them up first takes it out of the realm of "consent" (leaving aside the law which defines at what age a person can legally consent).
It sounds like she got what she deserved!
Most of the rapists (excluding only statutory rape between consenting people of similar age) should be executed or get life with no parole (since we will never execute any of them).
+1 on Derek's thoughts, with the exception of a questionable rape.
I've seen one of those cases, knew both parties. He just didn't pay his bill for sex on "pay day stakes". She cried rape and won, saying "I didn't know it was rape at the time", when she really meant "he didn't pay his bill".
Cut and dried rape, or 2nd offense rape, execute them. Pedophiles as well.

I think that it's crazy as she was how old? And thinking that she was fitting in with people of High School.
I think that there's some underlying issues going on...and not sure if she sould be sent to psychiatric instead of jail. Not sure that Jail will help her.
Yet, as I don't think that she had the same intent as a rapist, it does suprise me that she gets 30 years while a more violent act gets less. And I can see where Derek is coming from.

I find 30 years to be acceptable in this case. Death sentence wouldn't be so bad, either. It's pretty obvious she IS guilty.
And Darius, do you forget about a teenagers raging hormones? They'll jump about anything willing to be jumped. Not much ou there that's hornier than a 16 or 17 year old male.

I also find 30 years acceptable,but it should be across the board for all. They can rot in jail as far as I'm concerned.
Agree death penalty works,but since we don't have it here.... I also say throw the key away and let them rot in jail.
