WOW The stupidity!

The worst part, is the first shot actually hits the berm in front of him, and no one saw it and thought... Hmmm maybe this monkey can't shoot this damn rifle.

I think that's either got to be a set up for the video or a true case of darwinism at work. I find it really hard to believe that anyone with any firearms training and just an ounce of brains would stand out there and hold a target.

I'm personally leaning towards a prank video.

For starters, I think it's a joke. Both the Afgani soldier and the interpreter were laughing. The guy video taping said "Oh sh*t", but the way he said it didn't show any concern or fear for the "fallen" soldier. And lastly, I SERIOUSLY doubt that any US soldier would be STUPID enough to hold a small object for someone to shoot at.
 
I thought it was a prank at first too, but then I watched it again and you can see the first shot hit the sand in front of him.. Weather or not he was actually shot or not, just standing there with someone shooting at you is pretty damn stupid!

Even if the actual hit in the leg was BS the stupidity of standing down range of ANY live fire is mind numbingly idiotic!
