Yeah. Boston is most definitely NOT a BDC. There are some bad neighborhoods, sure. But economically and demographically, it's a completely different situation there.

Nah, you'll be fine. The rotary where Grafton St meets Hamilton St can be a bit sketchy at times but that's about it.

With a population of just 10k, Winchendon maybe qualifies as an SDC. But I bought a really nice bed there a few years back, so I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Putting Haverhill on this list tells me you haven't been to Bradford or to the area west of 495 along Broadway/Route 97.

Plus, Haverhill PD is one of the more LTC friendly in the MSSR.

Haverhill would be a borderline case. Certainly not anywhere near as bad as any of the towns above it. Though even many of those towns have decent enough areas themselves.

And yes, my knowledge west of 495 is limited.

The decisions are made by Deputy Chief Flemming. That hasn't changed under the new chief, and I've seen no indication that the policies have changed.
