Actually, a combination of both round and smooth. Much more comfortable for me.

Pretty much it, though I think rubber just makes a revolver look ugly. Never going to carry this as it's too big and heavy. At least for me that is. I'm sure many carry one. She looks good and shoots well while doing it!!!!
