Woburn Action Shooters - Intro to Action Shooting and IDPA - Saturday April 1, 2023

Action Shooting and IDPA is one of the fastest growing pistol shooting sports. WSA Introduction to Action Shooting and IDPA Class is exactly what you need to get started with action pistol shooting and IDPA. This class will teach the basics of IDPA and offer near individualized attention in a comfortable and friendly environment. We will follow an easy to understand format that stresses safety first with a friendly and supportive environment.

This is not a basic pistol course. You are required to have prior safe gun handling experience and completion of a basic firearm/pistol safety class.

Class schedule:
Sat April 1, 2023
8:00am - 10:30/11:00am Classroom. Roughly 2 to 3 hours.
10:30am - 4:00pm On the range at WSA

Class is limited to 25 positions. Fee is $35.00 WSA members, $50 all others.

Equipment Requirements:

Semiautomatic pistol or revolver. Usually 380, 9mm, 40 S&W, 45, 38 spl.
Minimum of 3 magazines. 4 is better and 5 or 6 the usual
Sturdy Belt for holster and magazine holders
Holster - Outside waist usually. IWB OK. No appendix, shoulder, cross draw or thigh rigs
Magazine Holders - Usually enough to hold 2 or 3 magazines. You can stow your magazines in your pockets but that is a pain
Cover Garment - Light Jacket, Hoodie, Shirt, shooting vest etc.
200 rounds of ammo minimum. 250 is better. The amount os shooting you do will come down to how many sign up for the class. Less participants means more shooting. Of course depending on your skill and comfort levels you can choose not to shoot some of the exercises and stages. It is really up to you based on what you want to get out of the class.
