With 1% of the vote in the Baker/Polito and Warren have been declared the winners:

“Gov. Charlie Baker has won four more years in the Corner Office.

The popular Republican incumbent on Tuesday easily fended off a challenge from Democratic gubernatorial nominee Jay Gonzalez. The Associated Press called the race at 8 p.m., just as polls closed.

Baker's re-election in liberal Massachusetts keeps the executive branch in GOP hands, as Democrats nationwide hope for a so-called Blue Wave to make gains in the U.S. House and maybe Senate, and change leadership in several state capitols.”

Mass. Gov. Baker Wins Re-Election

BOSTON —

Democratic U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren, among her party's harshest critics of President Donald Trump, has won re-election in Massachusetts.

Warren on Tuesday defeated Republican state Rep. Geoff Diehl, the Massachusetts co-chair of Trump's 2016 campaign, and independent Shiva Ayaddurai.

Warren has generated considerable speculation about a possible run for the White House in 2020, recently saying she'd take a "hard look" at a pre

Sen. Elizabeth Warren wins another term; Will she run for President next?

Yeah, it's the same thing during the general election, I never could figure out how they know with 1% of the vote who the winner is

It's a corruption strategy. It brings out more voters who want those candidates to win so they "feel" part of the winning team and discourages those voting against the candidates because there is no point in voting if their candidate already lost.

Because why bother counting the votes when you can just unilaterally declare a winner? [rolleyes]
Isn't it just the AP calling the race? Why would they care about the exact numbers when these two races were not even close.

That's cute except the MSM spew came out right around the time the polls closed, kind of a difficult conspiracy.....

That may be in this case, but it is a often used strategy before polls close. Especially in national elections with early calls in the east to effect voters in other time zones. The earlier they call it, the greater the effect.

Watch the presidential elections. The lame street media call Dem wins incredibly early and drastically delay calling Republican wins.

Someone help my millennial brain handle what is going on.

They use historical voting and algorithms to determine who will win after 1% of votes are in.

It was proven not to work in the last few elections, so don’t worry about it. It only works in a place like Mass where you know who’s gonna win, votes or not.

Interesting that Fox News declared the Dems won the House but CNN hasn't.

Think CNN is more conservative about projections after making fools of themselves 6 years ago, or whenever that was they blew a lot of early projections.

There was no contest in any of them. What surprises me is that with all the negative Lizzy press in the last 30 days, she got MORE votes than the 22% she's been consistently polling at. That means that MORE people voted for her despite her shenanigans. You could have Hitler himself run as a Socialist democrat in MA and they'd get RE-elected. "Look, I know it sucks that some people have to go to the gas chamber, but we use their bodies as clean fuel to give us more environmentally sound electricity." "You know what? He makes a lot of sense!" Ugh.

Minorities, immigrants, and the disenfranchised tend to vote with thier emotions.

If you look at Ocasio's' district, these folks are the majority.

"Stick it to the establishment"

I expect them to cheat, but I prefer that they actually have to work at it.
I just moved to a different town and I thought I had changed my voter registration. Ended up having to do the day of registration and was handed a ballot which was already filled out (take a wild guess which party was selected). I mentioned it to the official and got a somewhat lame explanation as to how that happened (saying it was used as an example of how to fill it out). Not quite enough to call foul, but certainly raised an eyebrow.

I do have faith for the rest of the country - I notice the MSM is backpedaling on Dems getting control - they must not like the polling.
I don't.

This country is a cesspool of scumbag leaders. Both Dems and Repubs are at each other's throats vying for more power than the other, and We the People are their targets. They truly Do. Not. G.A.F. about what they do to us, as long as they get theirs.

Instead of voting left or right, which keeps these fires going, we should just all vote left, and get the blaze burning hot enough so that this country collapses upon itself, because it's headed that way, no matter what we try. At which point, we can start the healing process. But we can't fix anything while we have Dems on one side, and Reps on the other, going for each other's throats, which the only result is harm to the People.

Still think free helicopter rides for anyone who identifies as a socialist is a great first step to fixing a lot of our problems.

They're not actually going at each other, it's just a show for the peasants. The "elites" all get along just fine lining their pockets at our expense and laughing all the way to the bank.
