It was freaking cold down here this past week. I was in a treestand Monday morning and it was 22 degrees out. Set the outside faucets to drip so that they wouldn't freeze and break. Really not what I signed up for when we moved down here.

Thank God it's over - should hit 68 degrees this afternoon; yesterday was shirt sleeves at the range.

Zero'd a couple guns that I'd changed the optics on, then ran a fun drill with half-a-dozen guns. I setup two pieces of six inch steel, about 10 feet apart, 10 yards from me. Put a barrel up and a fault line on each side of the barrel. Start on one side, shoot the diagonal steel, move to the other side and shoot the other steel. Do this as quickly as you can, and stop when you miss.

Really makes you focus on trigger control - getting the shot off when the sight's on the target.
