My 18yo GD is currently at UNH. Boarding there. She is having a problem with the food that they serve there, especially the meat dishes. What she has been used to all her life is burgers (rare), meatloaf, meatballs, etc, all made from venison that the family harvests and the moose and bear that her uncle Mark ships down from Alaska along with the halibut and salmon. Also, Little Jack fishes year round and provides plenty of bass and perch. Wild turkey is a favorite too. Poor baby. Not used to the common folk food from the markets. Jack.

Man, when you get used to wild food its hard to go back.

While venison isn't my absolute favorite I love me some fresh fish, turkey, moose, etc.

my youngest went the first 5 years of his life on wild game, his first experience with beef he thought I was trying to slip him venison, he found out years later that he ate venison almost exclusively for his first u years
