Hi, I'm new to hunting, and I'm hoping to get a deer or a bear this year. I live in an apartment so butchering one of these if i get one isnt an option for me. I was hoping someone knew of a good butcher in the area of Lexington/bedford. I've been looking around, and calling different places, but none seem to have the ability to process wild game. Thanks!!

Just FyI you have to field dress the animal before you bring it to the meat cutter. Last year a the guy who cuts deer for me was saying he had two people bring in deer that were not gutted out.

oy vey I dread the guy that brings me an undressed deer to help him "butcher" it..
Seanzo, just remember to bring a good caping knife with a gut hook and you'll be all set to drop the entrails.. You may have to drive a bit to get to a good butcher...

I've never used them, but kept them in mind.

If it’s going to take you a long time to reach a butcher shop you might want to have a few bags of ice with you to stuff inside the deer.
