An interesting video someone sent Michael Yon that he posted. I'd like to force every person who says we're not doing any good there to watch it.

I wouldn't be surprised to see, in the future, that the Iraqis raise their forefinger the way we Americans raise two fingers in a V. You'll understand after you watch the video if you don't now.

I used to have a picture of an Iraqi woman that just voted from this past January. A smile on her face, as she waved a purple index finger. I wish Americans took voting so seriously.

I think I'd faint if I ever heard that we had a 75% turnout on Election Day!

I have missed a couple elections in my life, but not many.

Whats the % turnout for our elections? And the only real thing we have to fear is getting a paper cut.

They get 75% and they can be blown up and killed.


Thanks for the vid Ross, didn't know there was one. But onto two interesting things about the election.

Also, Sunni segment of Iraq learned the hardway, something some American's still don't grasp. Sitting on your hands and bitching about how your government is made up doesn't rememdy the problem. Hence my favorite quote to during election times 'Democracy isn't a spectator sport."

If you read any of the articles, it seems there were conflicting Fatwa's. One said its a Muslims duty to vote, the other saying its against God's will to vote.

And to no one's real suprise who actually follow the things in Iraq and not talking the MSM, that phony ballots where making there way into Iraq to undermine the election, from guess where..............Iran.

I think it got a 2min blurb on one of the local stations.

I'm confused... I read some reports that there WAS no tanker full of phony ballots, that it was a made-up, single-sourced story - and the source lied. Are you saying that that was real?

Not sure. I heard it on a few places. CNN, Fox, local news, net etc. But the way Iran has been funneling stuff into Iraq, wouldn't suprise me in the least if they did.
