Who is paying these prices???

I mean don’t get me wrong. I like modified glocks, but I prefer them to be modified the way I want, or a complete build from the likes of agency arms or salient... not some basement stipple job with a fleabay slide and accent color trigger pins

Should I decide to buy a Glock, I fully expect to pay a $200 premium over list for a stock Gen5 19 or 26. I live in Massachusetts, and the AG has decided that new Glocks are EEEVIL and can’t be sold at retail except to law enforcement. So that means a private sale, and paying essentially black market prices.

In life, one occasionally faces a choice — pay an “idiot tax” for your past inaction or continue being an idiot.

ah, the lazyman's tax. got it!

a discussion starter for sure...whether a glock someone took a wood burner to and stippled the grip is now a "custom" glock worth a few hundred additional dollars or not. that word custom is very prevalent in nes gun classifieds.
"custom"
Also, vintage, rare, pre ban, blah blah blah. 😁

I would be a hypocrite or go against my viewpoints if I bitched about what people charge, the market dictates and if someone wants to sell a $500 for a $1000 and there is a willing buyer, who am I to cast judgements that is between those two individuals. There are also plenty of people on this site that will sell at a reasonable price. Like Varmint, I found a similar minded seller that sold me my first Glock 19 on here, I paid probably $150 more than retail, but live in MA and it is what it is. It was a bucket pistol I wanted in my safe, felt it was more than fair. There are plenty of reasonable sellers, just have to look hard enough and willing to reach out!

I've purchased some things recently at higher than "normal" price and it didn't bother me one bit. But then there are some folks buying items for the sole purpose of reselling them and doing so at an extremely obnoxious markup. It's a free country, a free market, supply/demand,etc.....and I'm also free to believe that those folks are douchebags.
Let freedom ring!!! 😆

Seems like not is the time to buy that STI that i have been thinking about for years. I can tell myself that there is a lot less of a premium on it.

About a year ago, four seasons had Glock 17 police trade in's for $399. And there were PLENTY available.
I should have bought more than one!

And about a year ago they had 9mm for 15 cents a round. Things change.

Just browsing in stock guns online for stores in Massachusetts. I was looking at Four Seasons used gun page..... who the hell is paying almost a thousand dollars for a used Gen 2 Glock 17??? [rofl] They have a bunch of them. I know they run a good shop at Four Seasons but I was floored seeing that. I feel bad for new shooters [mg]

They come with 2 mags, could be the originals in which case they'd be worth about $300 (according NES prices) of the $950 for the whole package making the gun $650.

Then you got lucky and were in the right place at the right time.
Nope. I just order what I want and ship to my dealer. Like yesterday, I ordered a Taurus TX22 (not on the stupid list) yesterday for $335 shipped. Will be at my dealer next week. Painless and cheap. But that’s all I’m going to say publicly.

As long as you're happy with the price for the item, then it's all good. The $200+ old Glock mags and $300 Anderson lowers are wild. Love it when I'm selling though.

I have a shotgun that I'm turning into a tacticool dorkfest that I am going to hammer some panic buyer on GB with once the real craze hits.
Ahhh because its okay as long as they aren't on your forum :)
Yeah you're right tho gunbroker just took the hammer and broke the retard scale... people are asking 600 bucks for keltec pmr30s lol

Have you EVER seen me complaining about Capitalism here? Like ever? I don't pay retard prices. Some people do, so I will assist them with a gun I don't need because they failed to prepare.

The only reason its going on GB is because Massachusetts. I would have no problem soaking a NES classified troll that only comes here to shop.

Dude idc I'm just f***in with you its all good. Pay it if you can afford it sell it if you got it to spare idc. The market will decide if your the next hurr durr or Greg derr.

I'll take capitalism over socialism, communism, or feudalism even as an economic system any day and twice on Sundays. Of course, saying that while paying these prices for firearms/ammo is a little like pegging. Seems fine for the one doing the pegging, not so much for the one receiving [rofl]

you've not been into guns long then, have you? four seasons use to have a glock wall of shame a few years back where they'd be happy to sell you a 25-30 year old glock for 750 bucks and they made you feel like you were getting a bargain. prices are set to whatever the market will bear.
This. I picked up a third G30 in 2019 for $450 bucks. Like new with 8 magazines. Shop around...

I may be missing something. "Pegging" to me means "Pegging the Needle" and relates to gauges and some times in arguments.

Please provide detailed reply with charts and graphs in regards to this other "Pegging" you speak of...

I’m not buying in the current environment. As for new shooters; They should have started sooner. :)

This for sure. I'm selling not buying.

And new shooters have no clue, so dealers are making money.

As far as buying a glock from 4 seasons, that shit's been beaten to death, anyone that buys from them is getting hosed.
