Congress passed a bipartisan gun control bill in June after a spate of mass shootings

Within hours of police arresting a suspect in the fatal shooting of three University of Virginia football players, the White House called for an assault weapons ban even though the suspect was alleged to have used a handgun in the killings.

The White House said President Biden and the First Lady were "mourning with the University of Virginia community after yet another deadly shooting in America has taken the lives of three people."

Probably just payback to Everytown and Giffords for switching from guns to abortion for the election lead-up… Interesting how issue-focused activist organizations all went off-message this time, when guns and climate were low on the list of voter concerns.

There's a surprise. BTW, I read somewhere (maybe here) that the perp used a handgun. Weapon of War BS again. Unless he was using an M95 or 1911, most hand guns don't fall under the name of WoW. Maybe idiot Joe thought it was an AR-1911.
