If you had duplicates of both.. a 26 and a 21sf

And needed to sell one so you could get a 42/43 for summer carry which one would you sell?

Still have a 19 btw which i love

Id get rid of the 26, the 42 is essentially a 9mm short so might as well get rid of it. Plus everyone needs a .45 in their life.

My favorite gun for hot weather carry is a 38 snubby in a hammerless style, the ultimate "pocket gun". I define a pocket gun as one that can be fired from a pocket more than once.

I'd sell the 21. I'm a big fan of the 26. Its very very shootable for how small it is.

And if you carry a spare mag, its as good as a 17 with 17 rounds per reload. . . . . Then I'd buy a 41 at some point in the future to replace the 21 SF

Jkelly229:

that is what im expecting to happen.. once i buy the 42... where in my needs does 2 26's fit... ive got my 19 for winter/jacket weather.. possibly the a 26 for sweater only .. and i would still have a 21sf for HD , and a 21sf for camping, hiking, whatever .. ?

That's how I felt. They're not much wider but you can totally feel the difference. Plus the 42 shoots awesome and accurate so it's not like carrying a bg or a pm9 where your nervous about throwing a shot due to recoil. Personally I carry a 20 or my Beretta in the winter but originally got the 33 to have 9mm ballistics of a g17 out of the 26 package but I got a good deal on the 42 so I grabbed that never looked back. Plus idk about u but I get nervous drawing my 33 I never feel like I get a good grip getting it out of the holster quickly don't have that issue with the 42 it comes out quick smooth and on target.

Honestly I have a 33 and a 42 the 33 has not left the safe since I got my 42 it's so damn comfy to carry

The 42 is very comfy. But for me the real difference is that its so so shootable.

I can hit much better than I can with my Kahr P9, Glock 26, or even my 19.

The 42 is the easiest shooting Glock this side of a 34.

And I've wrestled with the idea that its only a .380 but I shoot it very very well.

Lol Idk pop a few 10mm a and a few slugs off none of them have much recoil after that. The only gun that I really had an issue with was the bg380. Other than that recoil isn't too bad I really regret selling my p9 but the 42 is filling the hole in my heart

I wouldn't sell any of them, just get 2 of whatever you decide on so you can keep the "2 of each" theme going.

Let me know if you decide on the G43 so we can both get one. Maybe we can save on shipping??

If I "had" to get rid of one, I'd dump both the G26 and the G21 so you can get a G42 and a G43! Then you don't have to worry about doubles anymore.

Its not about pain or feel.

The marksmanship end of defensive shooting is all about being able to shoot fast with reasonable accuracy.

My shot to shot splits with the 43 are MUCH faster than they are with the P9. In the time it takes me to put 2 properly aimed shots with the Kahr, I could get off 4 shots with the 43, with probably greater accuracy. The short reset is part of the reason for that.

Selling guns is stupid. In the way that printing and faxes are also, usually stupid. [laugh] I've grown to loathe even pondering the possibility of doing it.

I'm "going without" the 43 until I can simply afford to buy one outright. It'll probably be over a year before I get one, I have other non-gun crap I have to buy first....

See I loved the lollipop sights I could get that up fast and shoot good splits with it. The problem I had with some others is the recoil made it a pain to practice. I meant the glock makes it fun. But as to the others you mentioned the pm9 cut my hand that was more what I was keying on in your post. The 19 and 26 are pretty easy to shoot.

Unless its a gun you truly dislike.

Yeah, the only exception I try to make now is if I bought something and its a POS, or I bought something, and never shoot it. My guess is though that if Queen Bee had any guns like this, she would have simply sold them already and the question wouldn't need to be asked.

Yup , these are not guns i dislike , i mostly carry the 26 in summer but im trying to be more active and wearing tighter clothes so i need something thinner and lighter , i was thinking a 42 in a bellyband, or cancan holster under an "underarmor" running shirt, and lulu lemon tights for running, and bike riding .

I have noticed that even while the 26 is smaller than the rest.. its thickness is killing my wardrobe for summer, and am not carrying anything while exercising except a cold steel knife.

Usually i wear alot of jeans and have to buy a looser fit shirt for the 26.

So this is why i debate on having 2 26's instead of having 1 26 and a 42..

The reason i put up the 21sf is that i have 2 because its my favorite full size but dont shoot .45 (or anything nowdays) often.. i love it for hd, camping, and hiking . But do i need 2 since i dont think its going to break anytime soon.

Neither is likely to break anytime soon. Sell both, replace with a 42 and another gun of your choosing?

I have a 41 and I love it.... however I'd never consider it a replacement for a 21. The 41 is a long slide. Personally I think the 43 is a replacement for the 26. (and I think the 42 is dead now that the 43 is here).

Queen did you ever think about picking up a 36 slim single stack easy shooting 45 I haven't shot one but it's on my list to get. That way you don't have to add another caliber but you still get a slim summer gun

I agree.

I shot my Ruger LCP probably 200 rounds in 3 years
I shot my Kahr P380 somewhere in the area of 300 rounds in 1 year.
I shoot the 42 so much, I've decided to start reloading .380. Its a really sweet shooter.

I kept my 19, sold the 26 and got a 42. The 42 shoots and conceals well. The 26 was pretty much duplication of the 19 and the 42 fills a void for me. I'd never consider selling my 21, but that's me.

going today with cfbackrow to Braintree pistol to try out his 43. i am bringing my 716 for him to try while i shoot the 43. will be fun to compare between the 26 and 43.
