so, i got at least 500 of both types loaded now in the stash, and just think of that to do with rest of available brass.

both loads group quite well - 175 CC Noslers go around 2566fps, below, the 168SMKs are faster at 2680fps.
both are good for its own uses. scratching my head now of what to do with primed .308 brass i got in the box right now.

What yardage were those shot at?

But anyways, I load both weights, but as SMKs, working off the Optimal Charge Weight (OCW) loads by Dan Newbury. 168s to 600Y and heavier for longer ranges.

Link = Load info

They’ll one ragged hole group @ 100Y, w/ this 5-shots (I thought it was more, but I am not at home now to confirm the target) @ the 180 ‘open’ range @ Reading shot prone using the 168s my best. I blame the L to R dispersion on my shoulder pressure, as am still getting used to prone with this rifle, shot off a bag ala Ryan Cleckner’s method. (Great book he has BTW!)

The 175's will do better at 600.
168's are a "jack of all trades; master of none" type bullet. I think they shine at 300 yards.
