I will laugh at the people asking their Iphones "what do I do?".

I will laugh at the people who will wait for days for help to arrive while holding their rape whistle.

I will laugh at the people that thought the government will protect them.

I will laugh at the people saying all we need is love.

I will laugh at the weak people that would not get their hands dirty or have never worked a hard day in their life!

Then I will laugh at all the fun I'm going to have without all the stupid rules I won't have to follow anymore!![smile]

Sounds like a plan, and...

The country is definitely heading that way if the liberal, socialist, democrats keep getting elected. Every major city that is under democrat control falls into the "Chicagostan" profile. Giving people handouts instead of jobs just keeps those people under .gov control - which we all know is what the lefty dem's want!

Welcome to Uncle Sam's plantation.

What about it specifically? It's generally relatively safe if you stay out of South side and the like. Corrupt as all hell though.

Let's see..Hmmm....
Disarm the people, so only criminals have them.
Lawlessness everywhere.
Corruption of those in power with the means to do something.

We could just tell them all to move.
That would solve the problem![rofl]

That should be enough I would say![grin]

Yyyyaaaawwwwnnnnn morning, it's 640 am here[laugh] I will do what I always do and just go through life and enjoy it. I live in a population of about 50,000 and we have had maybe 4 murders in the last year... The Chicago way isn't for my area, our area is well armed.

By the time that happens, most of us on this forum will have already had to make a choice. Those left will suffer more.

I would cry for what has become of my country. Maybe I'm feeling pessimistic this morning, but I'm afraid it's inevitable and my only hope is we can hold it at bay for another 60 years so I'm well in my grave when it happens. I feel sorry for those of you on here with children to think about.

In my neck of the woods, I have a sneaking suspicion the local PD would deputize able and willing men to keep our community safe, if it came to that. Other local communities up here would do similar things. The idea that anyone is going to "go it alone" is preposterous at best. I hope it never comes to this, yet at the same time I'm not turning anything firearm related in for any reason. My entire family knows this, and has made peace with this fact. No matter what tragedy occurs, I will feel bad for the victims, but will never surrender a single firearm to the state. I am oddly very comfortable with the idea of my own mortality, and always have been for some reason. If and when the time comes, and it becomes inevitable, I will do what needs to be done.

the country will fragment and balkanize long before that scenario occurs... of course if you are in MA, you are fck'd... I expect it to be like europe...[wink]

Therein lies the problem.

The answer for me is, I'll stay out of them. I'll remain armed. If the disarmament comes, I will make an effort to get my family out of harm's way.

Damn boating accidents.

In my mind, I've got any guns I may have devi'ed up (not sure if that's a word), to kids, nephews, nieces. etc. I've done my best and hopefully they'll end up in good hands.

Have a G42 in my pocket that's going to my daughter... (I'm not dead yet... upgrading to the G43).

They seem to forget, we have a LOT of guns and a LOT of ammo, and we are MANY.

I thought I heard on bz this morning (when they were talking about the mma thing and guns being considered a health risk to kids or something, kind of glazed over...) 1 in 3 houses has a gun. Course that's likely a national average...

Chicago is safer than several NE cities. It's not nearly as dangerous as portrayed if you just stick to the low-murder-rate "green zones", and have your Illinois concealed carry license.

A bigger problem in Chicago is that the city sees the law-abiding as nothing more than a cash cow. The City (and county) tax the hell out of the gainfully employed citizenry, a strong incentive to leave.

MSM will just tell you that everything is wonderful and that there is no crime. Sorta like they did in the USSR of old.

From what I heard in Australia just after they announced their semi auto confiscation there suddenly was a huge demand for large diameter PVC pipes...

exactly my sentiment. Amazing how it always devolves to the same cesspool. Well 200+ years of liberty so far abd we're not done yet. So stay positive and keep up the good fight.

Showcase my marksmanship abilities. Buying the barrels for my ARs off the shelf w/ cash was not an accident.

Oops there goes that secrecy plan... [rolleyes]

Yeah, when we were in Chicago it reminded me of my home, Boston... You're generally "feeling safe" as long as you don't veer seven or nine blocks off course and end up in the projects... or (like some folks driving to the Longwood Medical area who bought their GPS at Costco) end up taking an incorrect left onto "H-Block" in Roxbury where Homey turns around and offers to drive em back to the Baptist Hospital - at gunpoint - and drops them off at the rear entrance before speeding back to his interrupted Humboldt Ave transaction....

Just sayin'

Thats not even just a Chicago thing. Nationwide, violent crime is not only a big city thing for the most part, its concentrated in a handful of zipcodes in a handful of big cities.

This , and great post, but...

I have a sneaking (actually strong) suspicion also - that when "the time comes" that you mention, most Pro2A/Gun Owners/etc will do exactly what they do/did here in the CommonPuke of LiberChusetts...

A few, like the one typing this, would resist and tell the .gov to and completely f*ck off and die... Then shortly thereafter, say within the 30 day "deadline" clearly noted in their "demand" letter, the local (and/or state) PD would stand at Zig Heil-ish attention, salute their superior officers (who salute their superiors also) and do whatever they're told to do, so as that their fat paychecks and pensions remain intact. And they'll play "gung ho", get all dressed up in their ballistic helmets and their full SWAT armor, meet up at convenient meeting spot like Boston Police Headquarters, and then drive to my quiet suburban north shore neighborhood...
As they pass directly thru Roxbury, Chelsea, Downtown Lynn, etc and wave to the BLM's and Gringos who are giving them the finger - the finger that they just removed from the trigger guard of their illegal gun(s) in their cargo shorts and painters pants hanging down below their criminal asses.

And the "Brave Heroes" will round the corner, pull down my quiet street, start pounding on my door waking my wife and children from their law-abiding sleep, and "Captain Cape Cod Cabin as my second home" will scream into his bull(sh*t) horn "MISTER GLOCKJOCK! MISTER GLOCKJOCK! THIS IS THE POLICE. COME OUT WITH YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR"... as "Officer Okay Captain I'll do whatever you say" POUNDS on the door repeatedly, readying the battering ram....

Until the neighbors peer out from their tightly drawn blinds, see the platoon throw me to the ground and one kneels on my windpipe, as my sheep neighbors whisper to each other "OMG Honey, I thought he was a nice guy" and they log onto Facebook and tell their friends and cousins "OMG. Ew! Guess what just happened across the street! They arrested a criminal!!"

Especially when we ALL know that if indeed the repeal/confiscation/no guns for thee (etc) sh*t is enacted? THEY (law enforcement officers) will be completely "exempted" and still allowed to "keep and bear" via the * asterisk and "rewrite" that will appear in the Bill of Rights where Amendment #2 used to appear...
[*not including law enforcement officers, on duty or off, who may still purchase and own a brand new Glock while the rest of you can go eff yourself]

Just like in MA, where years ago, and repeatedly since, I've stood up (here and elsewhere), screamed "WT(absolute)F?? and was told/advised/counseled/etc to" be patient" or was told "we've (GOAL/Comm2A/etc) already been down that road legally" etc etc etc...

Or I was instead told to "Meh, just move from that sh*thole" to another state where guns are still "good" ...
("good" until roughly late-2017 or so, if America is stupid enough to put an "X" beside any name other than "TRUMP")

VERY well said. Doesn't this pretty much apply to how the entire Massachusetts Democratic establishment views taxpayers? Just shut up and keep filling the trough. Pay no mind to the illegals, layabouts and hacks slopping up what you are shoveling in. Faster! More!
