What's wrong with this picture???

His name plate isn't even in the correct font face. It should be in sans serif block letters.

I don't even really know the uniform standards at all but that was the first thing that stuck out at me. It's like "Hi, Welcome to Wal Mart" kind of font. What an asshat.

You gotta admit it!...... Wouldn't you love to catch an asshat like this in public?

I would take him outside and kick him in the balls!

Then I would strip him and make him find his way home naked!

I hate F*&%ing posers more than I hat F*^#ing hippies!

I may be 61 years old, but I can still do it!

Many years, when a Soldier or Sailor dishonored their uniform, they would have their rank ripped off of their epaulets, and they were sent off in disgrace...

I would gladly take part in such a ritual for clowns like this.

I was rather impressed by this individuals costume, but why Master Sergeant when he could have been a Command Sergeant Major?

If I ran into him, I would go up and shake his hand and thank him for his service, then just start laughing in his face.[laugh]

I've had this issue personally due to misunderstanding between branches. Which I can completely understand that not all current service members and veterans know every branches uniform instruction. Here is where it draws the line...

I am a Air Force Vet, served 2000-2006. At the last parade I participated in, I was approached by an active Army Reserve member who flat out started yelling at me and then proceeded to try and rip my Air Assault badge off my BDUs stating that there is no way an AF member can wear Army decorations or badges.

This member was then pulled aside by a retired Army Colonel who led the parade, was ripped a new one and told that AF Instruction allows Air Force personnel to wear earned/awarded badges or decorations by other branches at their units discretion. I can understand speculation, but flat out trying to remove an article from someone based on assumption is very disrespectful. I did my time at Ft. Campbell...

Btw... this retired Army Colonel was wearing an USAF Master Pilot badge and other decorations from his USAF service before he switched branches which is allowed in AR.

On topic, honestly I'd be too upset and be better off walking away if I saw someone dressed like this.

These days, there's a LOT of joint service activity... there are members of my Army Reserve unit wearing Air Force and Marine patches as their combat service patches...

As long as the patches and badges are worn correctly, I wouldn't presume to try to remove one from someone's uniform.

However, I'll admit to using my "outdoor voice" to focus a young Specialist's attention to the fact that his American Flag was worn upside down while in the dining facility in Iraq. I think I embarrassed him sufficiently in front of his friends (who should have corrected him long before I saw it). If I had known him or his unit, I would have focused his 1st Sergeant's attention on him as well. [grin]

I wasn't sure if it was carelessness or a political statement, but I didn't care...

Wow

I have seen some messed up stuff before but if your going fake at least do a little research on it so you don't look like a total fool.

I'm having my next one done in cursive.

I'd go IPA, really f&c* with peoples minds.

Sorry to resurrect the thread, and don't mean to be cruel, but I honestly think that a small part of this increase in posers is in part to us as a society going out of the way to appreciate our veterans.

I'm not saying that its wrong, but you will get asshats like that one who want to claim to be a military veteran now that it is 'cool' to be one.
