I have a crossbreed for my glocks and love it
I was told and all leather holster would be better for the slide concerning scuffing
it hasn't affected the finish on my Glocks but I wasn't sure about the 1911
I know it will suffer a little from carrying but id like to minimize it

All guns that you carry will show wear. Personally, I think that a worn gun is a gun that has been used and loved. I'm a lot more concerned about a holster's comfort than how it wears the finish. YMMV.
I have two Milt Sparks (VM2 and a Nexus) along with a UBG Striker. All are great holsters, I alternate the UBG with the Nexus normally because they are easiest and quickest to throw on and off. I can wear them all day comfortably. Using them I can easily conceal my S&W 1911PC (round butt) under just a tshirt.
