What to fill in for reason of issuance

I used "I am requesting a class A LTC so that I may legally own and operate a firearm in the state of Massachusetts."

It worked for me in Worcester three years ago.

Technically, it is true: The old license said, "Reason for issuance: All Lawful Purposes"

Now, it says, "Restrictions: None" (or other stuff )

My town is very green, always issues license with no restrictions. But will not accept ALL LAWFUL PURPOSES. i wrote for hunting, sporting and protection of life, property and family.

My town is also green but they will NOT accept ALL LAWFUL PURPOSES, so I put personal protection. So, would you like to guess what they put on my LTC ? ALL LAWFUL PURPOSES. IMHO, allowing the town you live in issue your LTC is just plain stupid. Gun licenses should be like driver's licenses, all issued by one department.

Don't the new laws require that there must be a specific reason to deny you "no restrictions "?

If so, why is this question still on the application?
