Really? I never knew this. Does this mean I shouldn't vote against the bad orange man?
 
I think the answer depends with which scenario happens.

Scenario A. BIden wins, but GOP holds Senate

Scenario B. Democrats sweep (worse case)

I think scenario A leads to nothing, Bidens first 2 years will be largely uneventful outside him magically resigning for health reasons and Harris becoming president. Scenario B on the other hand. I think the dems pass that 25th amendment thing aswell as a massive stimulus bill to look good. Biden is removed from office putting Harris as president with another hardcore leftist as VP (Warren likely). On top of all the radical socialist policies being adopted, we will see the Assault Weapons Ban with the best case being an exact copy of the original one. Worst case, they make it 1 feature and require registration under the NFA. I also expect a heavy tax on ammo. I also see under a Harris adminstration a packing of the court followed by immediate restrictions on the 1st amendment

Add that they will lock in control of the Senate by granting DC and PR statehood...

The Dems only controlled both houses for the 1st two years... and I think back then the Dems feared the political backlash from Gun Control legislation more then they do now...

Not sure why people have their heads in the sand and are glossing over the significance of this. Not only did the Republicans have a solid hold of the House when Sandy Hook happened, but the willingness of the left to embrace extremism has increased since then. We will almost certainly see an AWB in the Biden/Harris presidency, and if there’s a timely mass-shooting it will be inevitable and draconian.
 
What to expect? A perpetual state of internal war in the U.S. , A shortage of cemetery space, food shortages within major cities, random corpses littering city streets, political assassinations at all levels of government to name a few.
