What oil do you use for your guns? Is 3 in 1 any good?

CLP works for me!
Also washes out of your clothes... if you get messy vs. other oils.

If it's fine for sewing machines and fishing reels, that makes it exceptionally good for guns.
Sure, if you run your sewing machines and fishing reels so hot you can cook bacon on them... [smile]

3-in1 is for sewing machines and fishing reels.
I like RemOil and Breakfree CLP...
This. I have hoppes gun oil, probably the same as RemOil. I started out using Hoppes #9 but it’s just easier to use CLP.
Eezox for the Seecamp just because that’s what they recommend. CLP does it all though. Very little oil on the slide rails.

Ed's Red......

1/3 each Kerosene, Automatic Transmission Fluid and Mineral Spirits.........typical recipe calls for including Acetone......I hate that shit.....its a neuro toxin......oddly enough its a primary ingredient in nail polish remover....which may explain....nevermind.....

You can make a lifetime supply of the shit for $5

Keep something on hand for copper fouling but otherwise this shit is the bomb.....dont store in plastic....

Discussion below

I use this on my M1 Garands...

Glocks straight clp to clean and lube. 1911s good ole 10w30 motor oil bolt guns get some wheel bearing grease and clp. Used to buy into all the hype not anymore.
