I would gather a guess, that all of us here are gun owners of some sort, or why would we be here??

No matter your political or religious beliefs, the current state of affairs in our country is at an all time low with discourse in our nation. Is it as bad as it was in 1863 prior to the civil war? Was it as bad as it was in 1775/6 when we told England to GTFO? Maybe. That’s all a matter of opinion.

But in the next 4 years, gun rights are only going to get worse, not better. We might have a few wins in the next 4 years with a few current cases in our court systems. But unless a few of those turn into major wins at the Supreme Court Level, things are soon to take a big dive.

So I ask, what is your line in the sand? When will enough be enough and you will put your lives on the the line to stop the tyranny? This is a rhetorical question. Meant for you to think about for yourself. You don’t have to reveal your answer here in this thread.

For each of us, for each individual gun owner out there that answer will be different. There will be some that will gladly give up their guns and walk away even if they repeal the 2A and ban all guns and come door to door to confiscate them. For many more of us, that line in the sand will have been crossed way before that happens.

There is a point where I will say enough is enough, and will be willing to join forces and put my life on the line for civil war / revolution. My great great great grandfather did in the revolutionary war in 1776. My great great grandfather did in the Texas Revolution in 1835/6 as well as in the Civil war in 1863.

So just think for yourself, where is that line in the sand for you? Or do you even have one?

No sane person wants or desires war, but we have to realize that sometimes it’s the only option if you don’t want to continue being oppressed.

Remember this above all else. Those who wish to oppress, will do so, and continue to do so until those who are being oppressed finally fight back. Remember why our founding fathers wrote the 2A in the first place!

I suspect, for most, that "line in the sand" is when they come for you. However that scenario happens (forced confiscation, re-education camps, etc) that's when things would get extremely ugly and bloody in this country. That's my opinion. God willing, it never happens.

It's pretty obvious they scoff at our constitution, our rights and us. You go to the state house and beg them to give you the rights you all ready posses! Go there and exercise them. They are in the wrong and they know it. We have the facts of our history on our side. As long as you let them take your rights, they will take them.

We are on the road to perdition pretty quickly now. The Globalist socialist agenda is revealing itself as all can see.

I'm relatively happy with the results from the New Hampshire state house over the past 12 years, and optimistic for at least the next two years. It's the white house which worries us...

Like most I thought we would have reached that point long ago. However, we are too comfortable in our lives right now. They will get us one at a time with things like red flag laws, for now. The enemy is well financed, trained and supplied, and has the media to continue with indoctrination. We have none of that. Look at our Founders in the early 1770s, most towns had training bands and supported them. We don’t see that today. Read the history of Lexington and Concord, those people were much more motivated that we are now. The enemy has also infiltrated most of our institutions, and the corruption goes all the way down to the Mailman! ( no offense to the hard working mailmen/women). None of us wants war, but to borrow a quote, “sometimes war finds us wether we want it or not”. Stay alert.

I'm to the point I think it would be healthier for the country to simply split. Left coast + northeast + lefty upper midwest on one side and the rest on the other. States such as MO, IL, and PA get split with St. Louis, Philly, and Chicago metro areas to the leftists. Self-serving libtard, globalist worshipping states see how free thinking people and states are beginning to resist and are getting more pushy and desparate for total control, which is the root of all the shenanigans we are currently facing. Leftists want to burn the Constitution in order to completely disenfranchise 'fly over country'. Let them- but only for the areas they can call their own. Call it the Constitutionalist States of America vs. The Socialist Collective Alternative Bolshevist Society - CSA vs. SCABS [laugh] .

I think this would work- enough good ports for each side and the 'red' states have plenty of their own industry and some tech in Texas. Plenty of bank HQ's in the red states so setting up their own stock and commodities exchanges wouldn't be a problem. The leftist controlled areas are doing their best to F over oil producing states- let's see how they do without them. A small handful of states would be unfortunately lost to the opposing side- NH to the left and CO to the right, for example. Split geography for the leftist states isn't without precedent- think Kaliningrad area of Russia.

Large geographic areas of Oregon and California are considering separation from the small but densely populated areas that 'rule' against their interests. Why not expand this concept nationally? Some states have already taken a pretty big F-U stance against the federal government, such as Missouri's gun rights nullification bill that makes any federal law restricting gun rights illegal within Missouri. Personally, we are rethinking our consideration of retiring in New England to stay closer to the kids. If they need our help, they can come to us in a state that respects the Constitution.

Whatever your personal line in the sand is (your go time), speak nothing about it and fully think about the end goal of your actions and how you're going to achieve it. Also think about how you are going to slip back into the crowd when action is achieved without being noticed. Go time with the masses is what everyone thinks about but more than likely it will be guerrilla warfare done by lone wolves. There simply is no go time that the masses will participate in.

While no where near a record here, I have had an FID card since a little before the assault weapons ban and a Class A since a little afterwards and have been working full time since I got out of college in the same general time period. Since I have been an adult or roughly since Clinton, no president has done much that affected my day to day life. The economy went up and down a few times, people panic bought this and that over the years afraid of one thing or another, but I can't point to one thing any president has done that made my life appreciably better or worse. Not that they haven't threatened or promised things that would make a difference, but I have yet to see any follow through. So maybe something will happen that will be a big change, but I am not going to give anyone odds that it will happen in either direction.

That only works if there are two dogmas.

I'm kinda in this boat, perhaps a bit older than you. The Founders made it hard to change things . . .

But if the country turns into a civil mess, I don't believe the people that populate it today would stand up for much.

What will you do? Stop drinking beer? Start political killings?

A practical question for the chest thumpers here-

Who is “they”? In the civil war of your Walter Mitty wet dreams, are you going to move to states that you imagine seceding from the USA and take up arms for whatever new country those states form? Or stay in Massachusetts and be a covert keyboard commando after your shifts at Walmart?

please reply with something more specific than “the libtards who are trampling my rights/stealing the Donald’s presidency”

I don’t deny that the country is at a relatively low point in civil discourse. But I seriously doubt anyone here has a clue to who they will actually be fighting or be willing to move to Vermont, Indiana or Arizona to take up arms against the USA. Without the clarity of invading or being invaded, how will you have a clue where to take your AR and basement full of 10 round mags to join the fight? Will you be a Kosovo style sniper shooting non-combatants? Waving old glory as you charge across the George Washington Bridge to liberate or conquer New Jersey?

Really?
