What did you do to your firearm today.

Pulled a Rise Armament RA-140 trigger from my Aero MSR, and sent it back to Rise Armament for a replacement, under warranty. (wasn't resetting last time I took it to range)

Last year I had the same issue with an RA-535, had to manual push the trigger bow forward to get it to reset. Hearing your story makes me wonder if it is more than a one off issue.

I will say that they honored their lifetime warranty without question and their RMA process was quick (they shipped a new trigger before they even had my return).

P226 SAO Legion.

Installed DPM Recoil System, 12 lb. Spring and Short Recoil Guide Cup. Installed Sig Armorer Superstrut with Armory Craft 12 lb. main spring. Replaced sear spring with Armory Craft spring. Install Armory Craft Dual Adjustable trigger. Install Armory Craft takedown lever.

I would have replaced the magazine release with an extended one but the newer P226 Legion have the split (P320 style) magazine releases and I haven't found anyone who makes one.

As always my eternal thanks to the various people on YouTube who make videos on this. The SigGuy's videos were especially helpful.

Now I need to get to the range after work this week and test everything out.

I had an RA-140 and I had the similar problem. They exchanged it under warranty. New one has been fine. About 2k rounds on it now.

Getting close.. trigger/sear/hammer/safety all fitted, with a few more parts to fit/modify still. Really looking forward to completing this project.

Twin 1911 Government .45acp Too many custom parts to list.

These were the handguards when I started, then cleaned up with mineral spirits, and after the first coat of blo. I've since done 4 total coats with two more to do. I wait atleast 24-36 hours between coats. Looking good so far!

A coworker of mine said he was having feeding and cycling issues with his AR. Magazines had a lot of play front to back when inserted. Looks like the culprit was a severely worn out (or completely wrong size) magazine release spring. Replaced it with a new assembly and now the rifle runs fine.

Yeah not worn, but rather the wrong spring.

Good looking out for your buddy.

Picked up some surplus stocks from Numrich to mess around with. Gave the fiberglass one a light cleaning, then tried my hand at sponge camo. I don't hate it for a first try.

The walnut stock I debated leaving alone, but wanted some practice before working on a tiger stripe stock I have coming in. So, that got stripped down and will be hit with tung oil once it dries a few days.

Did you tighten the 2 small inner Allens on the trigger? Tons forget those. When NES had the group buy on a Velocity trigger I bought one and also didn’t reset, sent back and milled down a little and has been 100% in a few thousand rounds.
My RA-140 Rise has been perfect for like 4 years now.

I took apart 3 barreled actions and will be looking to sell some things.

Rebuilt up my poverty pony SBR which utilized lots of budget parts including a PSA 10.5” upper and milspec trigger. Painted the lower and rebuilt it with slightly better parts including a Aero 12.5” upper fitted with a Olight Odin, Magpul grip, B5 Bravo stock, Rise trigger and topped off with a Eotech XPS2 and Diamond head BUS. Looking forward to using it at next rifle class.

One of my coworkers found his grandfather’s old spur trigger revolver and asked if I knew what it was. After some digging around on the interwebs, I found out that it’s a Bacon Arms Reliable revolver chambered in .22 short. Bacon Arms, established by Thomas Bacon, was operating between 1859 and 1888 in Norwich, CT, and this specimen was produced sometime between 1870 and 1888 before the company dissolved.

Little project in the works

I still need to add the gas block, but here she is. Finished off the end of the cut and blackened it with aluma-black.

The whole build happened because my 9” Faxon 300blk barrel wouldn’t even cycle supers unsuppressed. Then Black Collar Arms released a limited batch of 7” 1:5 twist 300blk barrels. Hopefully it shoots a lot better than the Faxon. 🤞. I probably should have double checked before chopping a handguard. Whoops
