Put together an Axis for my niece. 223 Criterion barrel, Boyds stock. It really needs a better trigger, and a bipod.
Bit of a challenge getting the barrel nut off - Savage left bead blast media in the threads:
After playing with this one for a while, not a big fan of the Axis recoil lug setup. Won't be a problem in this 223 rifle, would want to use it in something with some recoil. I'll stick with the 10/110 actions.

gotcha, wasn't sure if it was a brake of some type or something else. never got to take shop class in high school

There finger brakes ****ing blow . I've cracked two bending sheet metal. lol .
There vice grips locking part fails too. It's not hard enough .

Not at the moment as the machine is in Wyoming and at the moment Im in the PRC, When I drop off another load Ill get more pics.
I built me a New Process 205 transfer case.
Put a band style parking brake on it that came off a earlier np200. Brake not visable from this angle, In this view the front output shaft flange is visable as is the twin stick shifter mechanism.
