Any ideas on a funny or interesting series. Not looking for scary stuff, too much of that in real life. Liked Peaky Blinders, not adverse to violence.
If you havent already watched "Ozark", it is work it...more "Peaky Blinders" than humor. All of the Marvel shows on Netflix are worth a go...Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist (welll...weakest link) and The Punisher.

For an interesting food porn, watch "The Chef Show" where the cast from the movie "Chef" go around and hang with chefs and celebrities

Tread was OK. It's about the guy who went off the rails and built the "killdozer" and destroyed a bunch of town buildings.

Re-watched Chernobyl last week. Second time watching, just as amazing. One of my favorite TV shows of all time.

Chernobyl was a great show definitely worth a watch or re watch. I just saw, I think it was impossible engineering , how they made the new containment building in 2016 pretty impressive supposedly to last 100 years.

Closed our Season 2 of Umbrella Academy last Monday...this is a great series and the quality (production, writing, acting, pacing, etc) is better than most episodic tv
We are halfway through the 2nd season and it really is good. Very rare that the whole family can enjoy the same thing.

Couldn’t agree more.
Hildur’s score was one of the best I’ve ever heard.

Watched "Old Guard", new Netflix release with Charlize Theron. Now that she is in her mid-40s; she has revamped her career into action movies quite nicely: Mad Max Fury Road, Atomic Blond and The Fate of the Furious being examples

The movie was enjoyable; dont be looking for a whole lot of coherent storyline / plot, because that isnt what action movies are for...

I watched a movie called The Gift on Netflix. It's a few years old but I never saw it before. Also watched Mine. Skip that one. Unless you want to watch a guy stand on a land mine for 90 minutes.

Tax Collector is on Amazon but I think you have to pay extra for it? If you like the directors other movies you'll probably enjoy it. If you like Shea Lebuffs other movies you might not like this one.

I don't have Netflix, but they're getting a lot of heat over this.

Seriously, WTF were they thinking?

Link to poster in article, I'm not going to post the pic here.

Damn. I had to look it up. She's 45 and was 21 in 2 Days In the Valley and 22 in Devil's Advocate. (Reeves was 31 at the time.)

what did I not get on umbrella academy? I watched about 15 minutes of the first episode and bailed
It was pretty painful the first season. This is why I dislike those "from comic book" shows. They are made for the readers almost exclusively. At least with the Marvel movies, they realized they had to be more mainstream and drag in us "Regular folk."

I thought it was pretty good but to find out it was a multi-season series at the end just pissed me off. "Wait. A cliffhanger??? This isn't just over????? I invested all of this time for THIS?????"

But I hear Season 2 is better. I haven't had time yet.

Finished that Jamie Foxx movie on theFlix. Meh. I'm not sure if they just did a bad job at making it flow well or if they were GOING for that flow to make the very hackneyed plot seem different.

Started season 2 of Umbrella Academy and turned it off when they started beating me over the head with black people having to go through separate entrances in the 60's, we dont serve their kind here, and cops mistreating black people. So tired of being lectured to.

To be fair, if they're in the 60's, that happened. Well, at least the 50's.

The flip side is the Hollywood version - where Emma Stone or Sandra Bullock has to come in the save the black people. Or Jim Belushi, Hillary Swank or Michelle Phifer (all did the "great teacher turns school around" movies.)

But if it's not central to the show, I can totally get it.

Netflix is posting the first two seasons of YouTube's "Cobra Kai" tomorrow. I saw the first few episodes on YT for free a couple years ago, and I seriously thought about ponying up for the rest.

But now it'll be on the 'flix. So I'm set for a few nights, anyway.

Cobra Kai is awesome!!!

The storyline is great and works well. Johnny is a bad ass too. It was cool looking reviewing the past through Johnny’s perspective.

I don’t really care for new tv but this was great. Even the wife likes it and she didn’t care for the movies.
