I checked it has been over a 18 months since I posted anything from America's foremost band for guitar wankery.

This is from an HBO broadcast from 1999 when Built to Spill were touring the album "Keep It Like a Secret" and it includes a song from Brett Netson's (green hair) other band Caustic Resin which was at the the time on the same label as BTS.

Built to Spill "Time Trap" (1999) [Live]

Built to Spill "The Plan" (1999) [Live]

Built to Spill "Cable" (1999) [Caustic Resin cover]

Built to Spill "Randy Describes Eternity" (1997) [Live 1999]

Built to Spill "Stop the Show" (1997) [Live 1999]

I HAVE TO SHARE THIS, I HAVE TO SHARE THIS, I HAVE TO SHARE THIS.... or it would be bad luck!

Let me explain, about an hour ago I posted the above songs and just after I got done doing that, this page was still on the monitor, and I started listening to this one from their 2000 live CD, it's a favorite.

As I was listening I remembered I had a $20 lottery ticket that I bought earlier today with the winnings from a $5 ticket I got last week.

So I am just grooving along to this tune and scratching off my ticket and I reveal the little money bag symbol (win all 20 prize)

I went upstairs to get the wife and a calculator and together we started counting them off...
$100+200+200+100+500+100+200+500+100+200+200+200+100+500+200+200+200+500+200+500

May this song also bring you all luck today...

Built to Spill "Virginia Reel Around the Fountain" (1998 Halo Benders cover) [2000 Live]

P.S.> Still have to work tomorrow but it is cool.

Don't know home many people outside of Michigan heard this version of House of the Rising Son, but if you were a young one in and around Detroit in the 1970's it was the only version that mattered...

Frijid Pink "House of the Rising Sun" (1970)

This is the only live video of the small faces I can find where the soundtrack is actually live not an a overdubbed studio version.

If you think the Beatles or the Rolling Stones were the best rock band in England in 1966 then you need to watch this...

Edit: I have watched this like four times tonight it really is brilliant 54 years later [bow]

Listening to my bands CD final mix before it gets mastered. It'll be on several of the MP3 sites before too long hopefully. I'm just the bass player pulled in to do bass tracks. All music is original (no covers).
