Yes I'm an old fart. Listen to this all the time.
Chill / Downtempo Radio
ODEZZA was the first artist to play. I'll have to try this for my morning warm-up.
Brandi Carlile is a musical treasure. Some might think she's a little left~ish, but she puts her own money where her mouth is, and for good causes.
She's from Seattle, but this was shot at Boston Calling in 2017. She's beautiful, brilliant, and her enthusiasm for her music is contagious. You really can't not like her.
EDIT: I hope this link starts at the beginning. It keeps trying to start me at a time stamp, even in other browsers. If it's not at the beginning, just slide back to watch the whole thing.
Starts at the beginning for me. I love front row Boston. I've watched a lot of good sets on their channel. Most artists I probably don't agree with politically but if they make good music, I'll buy their album nd even go to their show if they visit my area.
Jason Iabell and The 400 Unit, live on Front Row Boston
I first saw Brandi Carlile on NPR's Tiny Desk Concert. I shared that video and commented that it looked like she had teleported back to transform into my lovely bride circa 1986, and was totally rocking her style.
They share a similar history when it comes to troubled childhoods and dropping out of school at 16, but my bride doesn't play music and isn't of the Sapphic persuasion... but both are wonderful loving mothers who care deeply for others, and I bet they would get along famously.
I don't normally care for reaction videos, but Lost In Vegas are great. They are literate, articulate, and really appreciate the storytelling of country music. This was a couple of years ago, and they've really gotten more into real Country since then.
If your kids/grandkids are driving you crazy with Old Town Road, now you can get even with this 80's style remake.
For those of you who have dealt with suicide personally and professionally... whoof.
So glad that you're here again, for one more time let your madness run with mine........ the world that we used to know, people tell me it don't turn no more. The places we used to go, familiar faces that ain't smilin' like before. The time of our time has come and gone...
red yellow honey, sasafrass and Moonshine!
there ok, the last days of may
Starting to get dark @ 7:30. Where'd the summer go?
I never thought I could act this way and I got to say that I just don't get it
I don't know where we went wrong but the feelings gone and I just can't get it back
Even if you know this song, I'll bet you don't know this version
How Gordon Lightfoot wrote 'If You Could Read My Mind' | The Star
That song always gets me singing this sooner than later. And the chair doesn't reply.
I hope I lie and tell everyone you are a good wife
'Morning. A doc asked me this week how tired I was when I woke up in the morning. He gave me some prewritten scenarios. One scenario was, "you're driving alone in your car, have you fallen asleep at a traffic light?" I chuckled, he looked confused and I asked if he knew the song. No clue. My doctors are all becoming younger than I these days.
