What’s your current ammo lineup? Pics

Not as extensive as many of you but I am planning on adding a couple this year as long as I hit my weight goals :)

22short, 22LR, 9mm, 44mag, 5.56, 45-70, 12g

I said it already in this thread but I find that there’s some value in avoiding an extensive collection. In order for me to add another caliber to the collection I really want it to do something my others don’t.

I was hesitant to even add .45 for a 1911 instead of going with a 9mm 1911. It seemed too sac religious to do that for my style of 1911.

I agree Jim. I have many platforms for 9mm but I came across a P250C in 9mm with the 45 acp Xchange kit with it and have kept it with the 45 barrel and mags ever since. I love the power of it and the fact that it is a great carry gun in the colder months. With such a short barrel that thing kicks the 5/8” steel something fierce at 20 yards. It is also excellent for accuracy and trigger control training.

I didnt think the 9mm and 45 were interchangeable in the P250 like they are with 40 and 357sig. I know theyre not in the P320. I got a new P320 in 45 because I like 45 and also with the hope sig would eventually make a 10mm xchange kit for the more robust 45 chassis. I dont know much about the P250 but other than the hammer I thought they were nearly identical to the P320.

I am under the impression that the 9mm xchange kits were only good with .45 and .40 was only interchanged with .357 Sig. I hunted Ebay and found this to be the case. As to the hammer I’m not sure. The P320 did replace the P250 as a modular pistol I think? P250 is hammer fired dao. Was the P320 originally hammer fired da/sa as first gen?

As far as I know the P320 has always been striker fired. Looking into it it seems that the P250 was actually more modular and offered the 45 as well. I always thought they were almost identical to their little brother the P320. For some reason when they changed to striker fire in the P320 they were unable to roll it out with the same FCU to be available in 45 ACP. Kind of a bummer and forced me to get another P320 in 45 ACP instead of just an xchange kit. The P250 was an excellent gun that got a bad rap for reasons I havent been able to understand.

I as well mostly store ammo in it's components form. I always afraid of finding the "new Holy Grail load" and thereby rendering the already rolled up stuff "obsolete".
