Does anyone have any experience with this powder. It's an extinct 50 BMG powder that is very slow burning and available very inexpensively to some people. I did some reading and it has some possibilities. I was thinking of trying it in 45-90. Any thoughts out there? Thanks

Are you planning on developing a duplex load? Some guys at CB have done 45-70 & 45-90 w/ WC872 (slower than 867) and other ultra-slow burning surplus using a fast burning pistol/rifle charge as the "starter". No personal experience, just passing on the link:

I have read those links and that is one of the reasons I am considering. There are quite a few out there and the best price I have seen is $39

I just did the math. If you cast your own w/ range lead/WW, have the brass, and use this powder, you can reload 45-70 for just over 6 cents! I've seen $2/round out there commercially. 97% savings...that might be the best reloading ROI I've ever heard of.
