Watch out for Coyotes

Guess I'm lucky. I've got 4 acres of woods - house in the middle, the neighbors are at least 4 acres and I have about 100 acres of woods abutting my back woods acres. I can meet the 500 foot rule, but I only shoot the pistols in the yard as I never know who might be in the woods. The rifle I go 1/4 mile down the road to my local club.

I had to put down a possum a cuppla weeks ago next to my house and I never gave it a thought. We've seen coyotes but haven't had any problems with them yet.

My cousin bought a new house in RI when I built mine. On my first visit to him (he hadn't been to my place yet) he commented that he could 'wee' off the back step without being seen by his neighbors.

I told him I could off my front steps ! I won't tell you if I have or not ! :)

Bruce, do I get partial credit if I use a Mossberg 500 on the beast? [lol]

I've been reading your blog for a coupld of months or so; I really look forward to your new posts, man. The delicate way you verbally lift the skin and rub in the salt is just wonderful.

That's been on my mind but we only have a 50 and 100 yard berms.

Here's a pic of my granddaughter at the firing line and a shot of the berms.
