Was at a restaurant, fellow was refused a beer with a valid LTC

Let's face it. The whole concept is idiotic.
"I have a card that says I am who I am"

I know. We need some sort of proof of I.D. I get it. But it's still idiotic.

Maybe we could jest get a barcode tattoo or maybe a subcutaneous rfid chip and dispense with all this id business.

Honestly, if someone is stout enough to look like they should able to drink, let 'em.

Well, for starters if they’re going to give everybody, illegals included, their version of socialistic free healthcare, you’re damn right they’ll make sure whatever we put in our bodies fits their daily schedule for the peasants.
"they" aren't giving anyone anything - they are stealing from people who don't want to give it (and the yet to be born) - My point still holds: The government should have no control over the substances you put in your body, nor should they have control over the maintenance of your body.

ALL taxes are collected at gunpoint. The fact that there is an orderly escalation before it gets to that level of force does not change the fact that taxation - from the lowliest toll to the highest income tax is collected by the threat of force. That's why they call it Law enFORCEment.

This is not to say that all taxes are bad or should be eliminated because private roads are impractical for a variety of reasons, as are private para-military police like militias with allegiances to the sub-section of society that hired them (yes, I know some would say we have that now. But, before the imposition or increase of any tax, those in power should be asking "Is this revenue important enough to collect at gunpoint?".

Pissed me off to no extent! 3 ID's, one guy with no drivers license but multiple credit cards and a valid LTC in MA. Bartender was adamant. Boss overruled her ...
So show your birth certificate.
(Worked for me).

I'm of the mind that card should generally never be seen by anyone other than a gun dealer or a police officer in a justified context

Massachusetts LTCs have reciprocity with New York liquor stores.

License To Chug

Unless it's an LTC-D.
(I guess that stands for License To Choom, Dude).

To those in power, the answer is always a resounding yes.
