Yes it's harder to get an ltc. But much easier to fake the actual card. It has no physical security images on it and would be quite simple to make a phony.Tried using my LTC at the airport. Nope, not acceptable.
I said to the guy that it's harder to get than a license and he smiled knowingly. But the folks that write his paycheck said no...
But you brought a bunch of other shit so in reality it was being used as a secondary form if ID. Hell the freaking letter they sent you was also allowed as a secondary form. When I got the Read ID from the MA RMV, one of the acceptable forms of identification was a MA LTC
WTF carries 3 charge cards and a LTC without having their DL? That's just dumb.
What is a LTC? Never heard of one here in NH.
If they take anything else, and there is trouble, they have no legal leg to stand on with the A.B.C.C.
Mass. Beverage Journal
say this? Find it online and you are a better person than me!Mass. Beverage Journal
I was there, saw the whole thing go down and was able to get my phone out in time to capture the savagery. You said it caught you off guard.....but what was your answer?
Hummmm.Ever lost your DL? Ever been out of the country and have your DL expire? Ever have your DL suspended?
Funny man... I have a NH LTC.
I keep hearing this but do not see a legal cite!
Ok... Show me! Where does the say this? Find it online and you are a better person than me!
The ABC does not "deny" an LTC but the barkeep is strictly liable if the person presenting it is under age. "It was a perfect forgery" or "It was legitimately issued but with the wrong birth year" is not a defense to an underage serving charge.Pissed me off to no extent! 3 ID's, one guy with no drivers license but multiple credit cards and a valid LTC in MA. Bartender was adamant. Boss overruled her but I went looking and cannot find a location that legally approves a MA LTC as a valid ID. Bartender was forceful that the ABC denies a LTC. Anyone have a cite?
I bought the 3 guys a round as I was leaving.
Where do you keep your safe? Is it locked during business hours? Do you use a courier service or do your own bank drops? You want to know why I am asking - sure I figured if you felt free to ask about my security procedures it was fair for me to ask about yours.asked if I was carrying at that moment asked if I was carrying at that moment
Then we don't need it.LTC is not valid for liquor ID in MA, it's treated as a professional license in the Commonwealth and not an official state ID.
If the server relies on an inaccurate, or well forged "approved ID" like a MA DL or passport, that is a valid defense to an underage serving charge.
As to "LTC/FID harder to get". Maybe, but when my daughter got her FID at age 15 I was with her and the cop (who knew me) simply asked "What is your birth date?"
So an LTC is not an approved ID?
And when she gets her LTC and has to present all forms of ID inclusive of a CERTIFIED Birth Certificate.....
I had my LTC accepted as a valid ID when I didn't have my drivers license on me. Guess I lucked out?
I am a Mass resident now but when I was a CT resident I got asked for 2nd ID at bars and liquor stores and always used my CT pistol permit...they always accepted it
Donalan's Markets cards everyone. If you were 100 years old you are getting carded.
Costco or BJ's, I forget which one enters your DOB for beer and wine. Some clerks just make one up or use their own but others do ask for it.
C.N. Brown gas stations in Maine also ask even if you are 100 years old.
But like the others here... WTF carries 3 charge cards and a LTC without having their DL? That's just dumb.
Sunday sales are not allowed until 10AM in support of the de-facto official state churches. As lame as CT is their regs for booze are probably less obnoxious. In MA you couldn't even buy booze on Sundays not all that many years ago!
Funny man... I have a NH LTC.
My bank wont take a LTC either.Pissed me off to no extent! 3 ID's, one guy with no drivers license but multiple credit cards and a valid LTC in MA. Bartender was adamant. I have a friend who has never driven a car so no license.Donalan's Markets cards everyone. If you were 100 years old you are getting carded.

1. Now you are beginning to understand in (in regards to your question)So an LTC is not an approved ID?
And when she gets her LTC and has to present all forms of ID inclusive of a CERTIFIED Birth Certificate.....
My question is why should the state be involved in regulating what you put in your body?
have nothing constructive to add but you guys gave me some ammunition to use next time i get frisky and want to introduce myself to one of the older ladies in the bar. slap my machine gun green card on the bar and say something smooth like "hey darlin', want to go back to my place and handle my machine gun?" i'm either going to get a broken nose, get laughed at or get lucky.
i give you my full auto hand machine pistol. 3 pew burts or full auto pews, whatever is called for in a certain situation.
